Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ
The Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes, Whitefield, aspire to build Communion through quality education, integral human formation, spiritual Orientation, Social Commitment and emotional balance

The six pioneers Sr. Marie Martha, Sr. Marie Patrick, Sr. Marie Teresita, Sr. Maria Vincentia, Sr. Maria Joanna and Marie Prescilla were sent on a Mission to Whitefield in the year 1933 9th of January to open a convent school. Rev. Fr. Levelle, the parish priest of Whitefield Church invited the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes to start educating the children and care of the sick in the locality.
On the 14 of January an English Medium Primary School started for 12 children. Simultaneously on the 16th of January Kannada Primary School was opened. Classes were conducted in the church premises. Seeing the enthusiasm of the sisters, their personal care for the Students, the people helped to build a small School. In 1938 the Kannada Medium School got permanent recognition. St. Joseph’s Convent Kannada Medium School was the first school to be recognized by the Govt: Divine Providence guides the events in such a way that the sisters generously loved the children, the teaching profession, shared their knowledge, talent, life and resources.
St. Joseph’s Convent Schools have grown in strength and quality education over these 84 years of their establishment. Students after the completion of studies have been well-placed in govt. jobs, entrepreneurship as well as private companies. Regularly the Alumni visit their Alma mater, exchange views, news, experiences with nostalgia. The Management, Principal and the Staff have a Student Friendly atmosphere, appreciation, gratitude and support one another. To all that has been thanks. The foundresses of this great institution, the pioneer’s sisters, the teaching and support staff and the students who have passed through the portals of St. Joseph’s Schools, we recall, remember, cherish and thank. May the Almighty bless you.
Good school with beautiful green campus. Both the teaching staff and support staff do their job well and are kind and respectful. It is not a showy school but if you are looking for a sensible and down to earth school this is ideal..

Purely education oriented decent school. Affordable to everyone. Approachable teachers and staff. No fancy attractions but they do all the things that kids need. They had setup a planetarium in school campus for kids. My kid enjoyed a lot. Big shout out to Malathi Acharya Maam(kannada maam)- Lovely person, too supportive, heavily knowledgeable.

Educations wise awesome school. This is a no nonsense school. Very good and helpful teachers. Very High focus on academics. Infrastructure is very good and spacious. Class activities are little less compared to other schools. Fees is very reasonable.

I went to take form for my toddler, eligible for LKG for next academic year. I must say that everyone was friendly & respectful. There was a young boy at the office, explained me the details very well. This is not a flashy school at all. I felt good to see students from higher classes brooming the school premise and some teacher monitoring them in the morning. gave me a 'gurukul' like feeling.
